Killer Shake Recipes by Shake Chef Chris

Foundation ingredients for all my killer shakes:

8oz milk (best if raw) If you don’t know
how much 8oz is, try 1 cup.
6-7 ice cubes (mine are those funny, crescent moon shaped cubes)
½ cup oatmeal or oat bran
1 to 2 scoops Complete whey protein vanilla

Monkey
Add 1 frozen banana, 2 tablespoons peanut butter,

Chocolate Monkey
Same as a Monkey but add 2 rounded teaspoons cocoa powder
(or use Cocoa whey protein)

Straw Monkey
Add 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 frozen banana.
Add 2 tablespoons peanut butter or ¼ cup almonds

Blue Monkey
Add 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 frozen banana,
and 2 tablespoons peanut butter or ¼ cup almonds

Peach Monkey
Add 1/2 cup frozen peaches, 1/2 frozen banana and
2 tablespoons peanut butter or ¼ cup almonds

How to make a shake better than the smoothie guys do:

It’s kinda like what Pappa Johns does with pizza-you start with better ingredients. The foundation for any good shake is milk (not water). The milk can be cow’s milk or even try soy milk. Either way you get a richer, smoother, and more nutrient packed creation. Next is the fruit. Instead of just a sprinkling of your favorite, put in a good portion, and oh yeah, it’s got to be frozen. This gives the shake less of that icy consistency because you don’t have to use as much ice. Another secret that the smoothie guys haven’t used is adding oatmeal (if you like oatmeal). This can be good ol’ Quaker Oats or oat bran. Both add cholesterol fighting fiber which keeps you full longer.
