Welcome. Since you've navigated this far, I have to believe you have an interest or at least some curiosity about creating your own 10:10 Wellness business. Awesome! Let me give you a little history before describing the program. I might also suggest you click on the gate on the left now to start the download of the 10:10 intro video as you read on.
Like millions of Americans I was involved in sports, weightlifting, and a little bit of road racing (running 5K's and 10K's) in my 20's and early 30's. Nothing too aggressive. Then in my mid-30's I discovered triathlon and sports supplements, two somewhat expensive but important investments. All the while my buds and I were having a great time training and going to races. We often joked "wouldn't it be great if we could get paid for this?". A seed was planted.
Why not create a scenario where we could "buy from ourselves" and create a business out of this? Why not get a return for helping others discover healthy lifestyles and activities? By simply sharing advice about products and connecting others to a source for these products you have a business. Some would call this network marketing or MLM (for multi-level marketing).
Unfortunately those terms scatter people faster than cockroaches on the kitchen counter when the lights come on. And for good reason. Some MLM companies have made the news for creating pyramid deals that relied heavily on recruiting others to buy distributorships. Unless you're selling some real product this is truly a house of cards. Another turn-off (for me anyway) was the get-rich-quick approach and/or the replace your day job dream. While it's true that this does occur for some people, the reality is that most people involved in MLM don't make a lot of money. And I like my day job. So why bother?
The best analogy I could use to describe why we do this and recommend it to others is to compare the opportunity to a supplement like a multivitamin or omega-3 for example. If you eat exceedingly well and carefully, you probably don't need to take these things. You know, lots of colorful fresh fruits and vegetables, several servings of cold water fish each week, etc., etc. But we don't always do this. So to maximize our health we can use supplements. Do they make me feel differently after I've swallowed them (i.e., get-rich-quick)? No. But, I do like the gold star my doctor puts on my forehead after a check-up.
Starting your own 10:10 Wellness business won't make you rich very quickly (unless you're really good and devote a huge amount of time - don't want to hold anyone back here). However, if you're already into the "business" of wellness in your lifestyle, by encouraging others to do the same, you can create a residual stream of income from the people you've helped. Nothing sinister here. You do have to sell. You're going to have to ask others to sign on just as you have. But ideally, you're adding value for that person by encouraging (pestering in my case) them to exercise, sharing useful information you receive from 10:10 Wellness, and explaining how they can expect to earn commissions. Over time this simple process will create a network of others that produce income for you.
Another huge benefit, especially initially, to having your own 10:10 Wellness business are the tax advantages. Let's say you want to sell some widgets. You may not even like the widgets you're selling, but it's what you've chosen to do. To become more knowledgeable about widgets, you subscribe to "Widgeting" magazine. Your subscription is a business expense. You go to places where you think people will buy your widgets. If you drove a car to get there, your mileage is a business expense. You hear about a conference or event where others in the widget business go to learn more about widgets and network. Your airfare, cab rides, meals, and lodging are business expenses. Are you getting the picture?
At the end of the year, you can summarize all of your business income and expense activities on a "Schedule C" which is like an amendment to your 1040 tax return. It's really quite simple. If you earned $1,000 in widget commissions but spent $500 to generate that income, you would only have to report and pay tax on your $500 profit. When you're selling something unappealing like widgets, and going to dreary places to do so, no one thinks to question the legitimacy. However, when I tell people that my business expenses include race registrations, travel to some fun places to network with others, maintenance on my bike, etc., they think I'm "cheating". Now I don't want to mislead, and I do want to point out that the IRS will not allow you to report a "losing" business indefinitely. However, this is simply how corporations do business so why not you?
If you're unsure or skeptical, talk with any accountant. I can tell you that they'll be very "matter of fact" about the proposition and might even express surprise that you weren't aware of it. They could probably advise you of other business expenses (home office being a good example), that you could pursue. A good accountant more than pays for their fees with advice like this. And, they might be a good person to include in your business.
Now you have two options:
1. 10:10 Instigator . If you'd like to pursue a tradional approach to creating your own business, then you would want to become a "10:10 Instigator". As an Instigator, you would lead others to wellness and all the products offered by 10:10 Wellness. You will earn commision on those you bring into your business as well as all those who join "under" you for four levels. Please download the 10:10 Compensation Plan for a brief explanation of how income is created with our program. If you're ready to get started, please download the 10:10 Instigator Agreement.
2. 10:10 Internet Instigator. If you have your own website or blog then you can become a 10:10 Internet Instigator. With this program you display the 10:10 Wellness logo with a link to this page on your website or blog. Anyone who signs on to become a 10:10 Instigator or 10:10 Internet Instigator will become part of your group. And just like the traditional approach, you will earn commision on sales of all those who sign on for four levels. If this works for you, please download the 10:10 Internet Instigator Agreement.
Either way, you can fill out the agreement and fax or email to us. Be sure to let us know who referred you to 10:10 Wellness. That's how networks grow.
Are you in?
